User Reviews

Users praise ClassPass for variety, flexibility, and easy usage with generally good customer service. However, recurring concerns include credit and promotion policies that erase credits, inconsistent or AI-heavy support, and clunky navigation or search. Trials/promotions are sometimes not honored, and some users feel the service is not cost-effective due to high credit requirements and expiring credits. Overall, the app delivers strong positives but reliability around credits, support, and UX can undermine the experience.
Pros
  • Wide variety of classes and wellness options across many studios, providing flexibility and exploration.
  • Easy-to-use app with straightforward booking and generally positive user experience.
  • Excellent flexibility to try different workouts and not be tied to one gym; travel-friendly.
  • Customer service is responsive and helpful in many interactions.
Cons
  • Credit balance and promotion policies often result in credits disappearing, being misallocated, or not rolling over after upgrades.
  • Customer support frequently relies on AI or is inconsistent, making it hard to get real-time help or refunds.
  • Usability and navigation issues: difficult to filter by time/location, multi-step cancellation flow, and search bugs.
  • Trial and promotional promises are misleading or not honored, with free credits or trials vanishing after actions.
  • Perceived poor value for money due to high credit requirements and credits expiring, limiting what you can book.
Recent reviews
I have been a loyal ClassPass user for years but I recently have been extremely busy due to work travel and haven’t been able to take advantage of my credits as much. I accrued up to 100 credits due to my credit plan was seeing what my options were since I wasn’t using it as much - ClassPass promoted me to switch to a 8 credit plan at a lower cost but did not tell me I would lose 92 credits upon the new cycle . That is easily 200$ that I lost and they have lost a loyal customer .

I’m surprised by how much I like this app. I originally did the free trial to get back into yoga and fitness classes after exclusively weight lifting for the past seven years and I really enjoy the flexibility of being able to go to different studios without the pressure of having to commit to a membership with them. I’ve been to a bunch of places in the area I live and work to see what works best for my work schedule and so far every experience has been great and I’ve found a few I love ! I don’t think I’ll get off class pass because I can’t decide which studio to commit to they each have their own flows. I also love that I can go to Pilates or spin with my friends if I want to try something different outside of yoga and weightlifting. The only drawback with ClassPass that I’ve found is that I wish that you could keep your credits if you paused the membership for a few weeks vacation instead of them going away if you don’t pay for them to rollover.

The app showed a class confirmed today, and then when I arrived at the class I wasn’t booked. I opened the app to see if i had messed up, and still saw the word ”confirmed” but a second later it disappeared. It did not register me and this is a bug. I wish I had taken a screenshot but I didn’t know it would disappear. Of course classpass had no record of me registering, but I 100% did and was confirmed so there is absolutely a glitch in the app. I wasted a lot of time driving around and am very annoyed
