Google Calendar: Get Organized

FIFTEEN YEARS AGO, I chose Apple Calendar over Google Calendar (in 2011!)… and Google Calendar still doesn’t support these two ESSENTIAL functions in-app: • The ability to add an event’s address (without it being hidden by default) • The ability to add travel time to the calendar …after all, in addition to the convenience of both, it’s not like events are only during the period for which they’re scheduled; you’re actually unavailable for quite some time around it

I absolutely love Google Calendar and I know I’m not alone. It has become such an essential tool for entrepreneurs, businesses, families and individuals that many of us genuinely rely on to function day to day. I’ve especially love seeing the expansion of color added and continue efforts to improve Google Calendar. With how quickly our responsibilities change I would love to see one additional feature a strike through option or cancelled option for calendar events. There are so many situations where appointment, meeting or events did not happen, but we still need it to remain visible on the calendar for documentation, references or tracking purposes. Deleting the event removes that history, while leaving it unchanged can make it appear as though the appointment actually occurred. Being able to mark an event as canceled with perhaps a strike through while keeping it in the original time slot, would make Google calendar even more functional. I truly hope this suggestion reaches Google Calendar development team. It seems like a simple addition that could make a huge difference in how we manage and document our schedules. Thank you for continuing to improve a product that so many people depend on.
