Review summary

Users praise Evermusic Pro for excellent sound, rich features, and accessibility, plus active development. However, update-induced instability, unreliable cloud/local storage integration, UI/UX regressions, cross-device problems (iPad/CarPlay/ SMB), and inconsistent support frequently appear across reviews, making the app powerful yet occasionally flaky. Best used on iPhone with local libraries while reliability on other platforms remains a work in progress.
Pros
  • Excellent sound quality with a strong built-in equalizer and support for lossless formats
  • Feature-rich with folder organization, playback speed, gapless playback, shuffle, Wi-Fi sharing, and NAS/cloud compatibility
  • Accessible (VoiceOver) and easy to use, with reliable shuffle that avoids repeats
  • Active development and responsive updates from the developers
  • Notable privacy-friendly approach (no telemetry) mentioned by users
Cons
  • Update-related instability: after updates, the app becomes slow, duplicates/triple songs, or fails to load and can crash
  • Cloud/storage integration reliability is spotty: issues with pCloud/iCloud/Google Drive, with loading or playback failures
  • UI/UX regressions after redesign: misaligned controls, clutter, and navigation inconsistencies
  • Cross-device issues: iPad incompatibility, CarPlay playlist access problems, SMB networking bugs
  • Inconsistent or slow support responses to issues

2026-07-21 Ro***** I’ve used Evermusic Pro and generally liked the app, but since the recent update, basic playback controls no longer work properly on my iPhone 17 Pro running iOS 26.6. Not only do the hardware controls on my headphones and earbuds no longer work for play/pause, next/previous track, or volume, but the Evermusic audio player also does not appear on the iPhone Lock Screen while music is playing. This means there is essentially no convenient way to control playback. If I want to pause a song, skip a track, or otherwise control my music, I have to unlock my phone, manually open Evermusic Pro, and use the controls inside the app itself. I’ve tested the hardware controls with multiple devices, including Beats Studio Pro and OnePlus Buds, with the same result. These controls work normally with other audio apps, so the problem appears to be specific to Evermusic Pro. I contacted the developers/support about these issues on July 16th, but unfortunately they have neither been resolved nor meaningfully addressed. For a paid “Pro” music player, functioning headphone controls and Lock Screen playback controls are fundamental features, not optional conveniences. It’s especially frustrating because Evermusic Pro otherwise has a lot to offer. I’d be happy to revise my rating if the developers acknowledge and fix these problems, but until then, I can’t recommend Evermusic Pro in its current state.

2025-11-16 Kh***** This is my favorite audio player by far. It has features that I actually use: folder organization for files, playback speed, gapless playback' wifi sharing the list goes on. Call me crazy but it'd be cool if we got a desktop app too. It could also communicate with the mobile app for streaming from a computer if necessary. Just an idea, but that's really the only idea I have. Although if there is one problem I have is some label elements and buttons are not labeled on the web interface in the wifi drive. What I mean is if you are using a screen reader it recognizes there are buttons but it doesn't say what they are. If that is fixed I'd give an extra star if I could, honestly. Keep up the great work. And I appreciate the constant updates too.
