User Reviews

CloudBeats earns praise for strong cloud integration (OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, Nextcloud), offline downloads, easy playlist creation, and a clean UI, letting you own your music without a subscription and use CarPlay smoothly. Users like streaming quality across networks and cross-device playback. However, recurring issues center on managing large libraries and cloud syncing (indexes slowly, updates hard); playlist management remains basic with requests for bulk selection and full library views; and stability concerns persist in some cases (login prompts, occasional freezes or playback stops). Overall, solid core idea with room for feature and reliability improvements.
Pros
  • Strong cloud storage integration with OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, and Nextcloud for streaming and offline playback.
  • Easy playlist creation and offline downloads across devices.
  • CarPlay compatibility and reliable playback in the car.
  • Clean, intuitive UI and the ability to play your own music without requiring a subscription.
Cons
  • Difficult syncing/keeping large libraries up to date across cloud services; indexing can be slow (e.g., Google Drive) and updates are hard.
  • Playlist management is limited: hard to create/manage playlists, lacks bulk selection, and it’s hard to view all songs in one list.
  • Stability issues such as occasional bugs, login prompts, and playback interruptions (e.g., stops when the screen locks) in some cases.

The app is great and does almost everything I want, except that I can’t stream to my Chromecast devices when I am at home. Please consider adding that feature (I know the Android version has it).

I store music on OneDrive to make it easily accessible from many devices. This app makes it really easy to make playlists and download the files for offline listening. The CarPlay integration works perfectly as well. Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!

After trying six other apps, Cloudbeats is hands down the best solution for my needs. My music library includes over 20,000 tracks from more than 2,000 artists. I manage everything with MediaMonkey and upload the files to OneDrive for streaming. Cloudbeats offers a clean, intuitive UI that’s both simple and powerful. Streaming is rock-solid on both cellular and Wi-Fi connections, and browsing by Artist, Album, or Genre is well organized and easy. The only drawback I’ve encountered is keeping the library fully up to date as I continue refining my organization. Syncing can be a bit tricky, especially with a large collection. That said, support is outstanding. The developer has been extremely responsive and helpful with my questions. Overall, I highly recommend this app.
