User Reviews

CloudBeats excels with cloud-based audiobook playback and easy progress tracking across devices, making offline listening straightforward. However, it lacks m4b chapter support and suffers from stability issues, along with cloud-service download problems. If you rely on cloud storage and cross-device syncing and can tolerate occasional bugs and missing chapter features, it’s a strong option; otherwise you may encounter frustrating gaps in playback and navigation.
Pros
  • Excellent cloud storage integration (Google Drive, Dropbox, Nextcloud) for streaming or offline listening.
  • User-friendly interface with reliable progress tracking and easy resume playback.
  • Cross-device position syncing for audiobooks and convenient offline availability across devices.
Cons
  • No m4b/chapter support—chapters cannot be viewed or navigated for files that contain them.
  • Stability issues: frequent bugs, force closes, freezes, and unpredictable playback interruptions.
  • Cloud integration problems and download issues (e.g., Nextcloud downloads stalling or failing; some concerns about Google Drive permissions), plus limited straightforward local file browsing.

Everything seems to work except that m4b is not supported. I don’t really understand it as it calls itself an audiobook player.

This by far the best audio book app I’ve come across. Been using it since the pandemic but lately it’s been very buggy. Force closes, freezes and won’t play some of my books. Developers please run a check and fix it. Thank you. Please issue an update

What good is an audiobook player that doesn’t support chapters.? If I’d known that I’d never have downloaded it, much less paid for premium
