Overall, MECU Mobile is valued for real-time account visibility and convenience, along with a sense of security when it works. However, reliability issues dominate feedback, including frequent login errors and extended outages. Deposits and transfers are pain points due to check deposit failures, camera/rotation prompts, and changes that limit external transfers or automatic payments. Customer support is inconsistently helpful. The app’s features are strong, but stability and transfer-related frustrations significantly impact the user experience.

Recent reviews
This app is essentially useless as it offers little beyond taking up space on your mobile device. Compared to major banking apps, this app is buggy than most and is really only good for taking a quick look at your accounts. The user interface looks as outdated as it functions and in a modern time like what today brings, there should be no reason this technology can’t be improved upon. This app needs an overhaul. Overall the design makes the app look rather antiquated: like the developers did the bare minimum simply to get the app running while at the same time offering nothing for users beyond basic transactions. No Zelle. Setup for push notifications is complete garbage. Receiving notifications in a timely manner and at the same the user designates is equally and appallingly horrendous, as I’ll set a push notification for a balance check for Monday and receive it far later in the week if at all most times. Face ID sometimes doesn’t even work properly for this device. So again, either the developers didn’t care enough to build a quality app or just haven’t shown any tenacity or ingenuity in implementing better features or design for this credit union. It’s appalling that this is the quality members get for a banking app in 2026. Credit unions can tap into resources to offer quality products including technology (such as with this trash app) so to say that they can’t do better than this speaks more volumes than anything else on the ability of the developers to produce if that is really the case. User interface and design overhaul to allow for better implementation of features and access to services, are the basic things members are asking for. That isn’t hard to take time to do. Leave the bugs and excess on the cutting room floor so we can finally have an app worth using. That 4.8 star rating on the App Store is rather deceptive, all things in my review considered. Until an improved app is available here, I’ll stick to using the web version. Seems like more time is spent anyway on making the website look pretty than the app itself.
