Overview

Features & Capabilities

Symplr Access is a mobile app and Chrome extension that helps healthcare facilities manage vendor credentials, appointments, and on-site badges. It displays a virtual badge with your profile photo and appointment details, tracks credential status, and enables on-site check-in and check-out. Hospital admins get an on-site dashboard and rep lookup to streamline vendor management.

Key capabilities include identifying incomplete, declined, or expired credentials and policies, viewing and signing facility policies, uploading documents, and managing account details. Fresh admin features include the On Site Dashboard, Rep Look Up, and app permissions that sync with desktop controls.

User Reviews

Users overwhelmingly report a fragile, unreliable app with crashes, freezes, and long load times. Authentication is faulty (Face ID fails, frequent password resets), and credential submission is cumbersome with cross-platform inconsistencies. Many feel the service is overpriced, with concerns about double billing after the IntelliCentrics merger. These issues contribute to delays in work processes and scheduling in healthcare settings.
Pros
  • The credentialing service is viewed as superior to competitors.
Cons
  • Frequent stability issues: the app crashes, freezes, is very slow, or won’t open.
  • Authentication/login problems: Face ID often doesn’t work, repeated password resets are needed, and manual login is frequently required.
  • Credential submission is difficult and inconsistent between web and mobile, with users unable to submit credentials at times.
  • High cost and billing concerns: the subscription is very expensive and there are allegations of double charging after the merger with IntelliCentrics.
