As other users have noted, despite the text of the app description saying you have the option to upgrade to a paid subscription, this is false and you will become unable to use the app unless you purchase a subscription. Avoid this app at all costs as this is intentionally deceiving and predatory.

So, there’s no way for me to access the app (that I have been using for years) without subscribing. Nice try, but nope. Give us the option to opt out of this!
