ArtPose Female Edition is affordable and useful for artists as a pose reference, with easy initial use and a broad pose library, plus easy export to Procreate. However, it lacks a skeletal rig, has limited body-type and facial variation, and has harsh UI clutter and finger-pose limitations. Users repeatedly request more anatomy realism, better hand articulation, multi-model support, and a clearer interface. The app remains a strong value for reference but needs updates to reach higher realism and flexibility.

Pros

Inexpensive and good value for the price.
Easy to learn and quick to start using.
Extensive pose library with dynamic preloads for quick reference.
Ability to orbit/rotate the model to view poses from any angle.
Exports to Procreate and integrates smoothly into artist workflows.

Cons

No skeletal figure; limited torso articulation.
Limited hand/finger posing; few hand poses and cannot pose fingers individually.
UI is cluttered with icons and not intuitive; learning curve can be steep.
Limited body types and facial expressions; little variation in shape and face.
Cannot load multiple models in the editor / single-model limitation.

Recent reviews

Been using this on my mom’s iPad for years and just got my own iPad so I bought it again. I like that it’s inexpensive and works well for what I use it for which is just drawing my friends’ dnd characters. The hands leave a lot to be desired but I either work with what I’ve got and make minor adjustments or use a different app for hands specifically.
