User Reviews
Pros
- Rich ride data and stats, including vitals, power output, and time in assist levels.
- Keeps a detailed log/history of rides for progress tracking.
- Apple Watch heart rate support added, improving smartwatch integration.
- Core features and GPS tracking work for many users, with useful after‑ride data.
- Overall user experience feels user‑friendly and reliable for core bike connection and data viewing.
Cons
- Frequent connectivity issues and crashes between the app and the bike, reducing reliability.
- Limited or flaky integration with third‑party apps (Garmin, Apple Health, Strava/Komoot) and inconsistent data syncing.
- GPS and maps reliability problems (GPS drops, maps not loading, odd GPS locations) affecting ride tracking.
- Unreliable Apple Watch integration (watch connection issues, buggy watch app, HR monitoring on the watch) and related usability problems.
- UI/UX inconsistencies and bugs (missing start UI, trip data display issues, watch app placeholders) that disrupt workflow.
Recent reviews
The app mostly works fine, but there are 3 major gripes I have with it. It would be so helpful to be able to search routes. I have a lot and I have to scroll very far to find them. Being able to sort routes would also be nice (modify on, last used, maybe distance from me).
The watch app also has a major bug. If you do not remember to shut down the watch app when you are done biking, it continues to record your heart rate until the watch is drained - even when the bike is off.
There are features that used to be paid, that are entirely unavailable anymore. They enable features related to the bike. When I bought my bike brand new I was expecting these features to be available for purchase. But they had disabled them a few months before I bought my bike. I think it would be really cool if Bosch could just give everyone access to these features - especially since they are between the app and the bike

2026/06/02: just received an answer from “Your Bosch eBike Team” that tells me they do not support the Apple Watch!!!!
So the real question is: WHY do you provide (and install) an app on the Apple Watch to do what you are telling me is not supported?
The logical conclusion seems “just to be listed in the Apple App Store and benefit from Apple marketing machine”
In my book, this is absolutely unethical if not downright fraudulent!!!
Original review:
I have several sport apps which NEVER had any issue with heart monitoring on my Apple Watch while I exercise.
This e-bike Connect is horrible: while biking, there has never been one ride (out of hundreds) where the heart function worked from start to finish. It is both frustrating and useless that they cannot properly develop it after all these years.
