User Reviews

The Bosch Flow app is praised for features like end-user firmware updates, multi-bike support, and ride/maintenance tracking, but reviewers uniformly report reliability problems. Recurrent issues include unstable Bluetooth connections and unlock failures, troublesome update processes, buggy multi-bike management across devices, login/authentication lockouts, and general stability/crash problems. A few users note Apple Watch heart-rate integration can work inconsistently. Overall sentiment: useful feature set plagued by reliability and usability frustrations.
Pros
  • End-user firmware updates via the Flow app (no shop visits).
  • Supports multiple bikes under one account, useful for families/teams.
  • Ride tracking and maintenance data (mileage intervals between services) are available.
Cons
  • Unstable connectivity between phone and bike: frequent Bluetooth pairing drops and unlocking failures, with some cases requiring internet access or app restart to ride.
  • Software/firmware update process is unreliable: updates fail to complete or take repeated attempts.
  • Managing multiple bikes across devices is buggy: switching between bikes/phones can lock you out or cause data loss.
  • Login/authentication problems can lock users out of the app (cannot authenticate or log in).
  • Overall app stability issues: crashes, flaky navigation, and unreliable performance.
Recent reviews
I had high expectations for a $5k+ e-bike, but even my budget chinese bikes have better features for security , charging , and troubleshooting The Flow app (sounds like Menstrual cycle manager ) constantly upsells for proper LoJack . It doesn’t have Find My support The app doesn’t support battery health management like schedules or charging limits . So every time you charge , the battery degrades . Bluetooth is unreliable . It doesn’t work while charging , or while the bike is off . So if you are upstairs you are SOL And the app doesn’t report issues. Even minor issues have to be checked by a dealer which takes a long time , a car and a lot of money.
