User Reviews

Users like the app for its clear flashcards, portability, and textbook alignment, but report persistent bugs with the review definitions, lack of audio/pronunciation, and outdated content that lags behind updated Hebrew textbooks.
Pros
  • Flashcard format is straightforward and effective for learning on the go.
  • Strong alignment with textbooks and chapter-based vocab lists, making it easy to study alongside course material.
  • Portable, on-the-go practice with flashcards that users can rely on outside of a classroom.
Cons
  • Review mode often mismatches definitions with words (cards becoming incorrect or out of sync), and this bug persists across sessions.
  • No pronunciation audio or transliteration on flashcards, making correct pronunciation harder for learners.
  • Vocab lists and textbook alignments are out-of-date or not updated for newer editions, causing content to feel out of sync with current textbooks.

The recent update to the app is incredible and made this app go from a 3.5/5 to a full 5 stars in my mind.

Bottom line: just use the free version of Quizlet. The “review” function would be great if you’re trying to do a comprehensive study but the words and the definitions get jumbled making it unusable. I love that the app offers multiple textbooks but there are some significant spelling errors of the Hebrew words which ruins the whole point. Also, there’s no way to track progress (I.e. which lessons you reviewed which ones you got wrong etc.) unlike the free version of Quizlet.

The top 1000 vocab feature is super useful, I use it all the time. However, it is split into segments of 25 words each. I wish I could study all 1000 words at the same time, or even just 100, but if you add too many words to the review feature, it matches up the wrong definitions with the words. This mixup persists even when I close and reopen the app. Overall, I will probably keep using it, but do not buy the app if you want to study all the words at once. It can’t currently do that for you. *sigh* I will update my review if I see that change.
