Historically useful for tracking usage and bills, Ameren Mobile now faces widespread reliability issues. Reviews repeatedly report immediate session timeouts and login loops, white screens or non-loading, and months of instability after updates. Payment flows often fail or redirect to external systems, and outage updates/support are seen as unhelpful. While some users note it worked for years and quick-pay via email was possible in rare cases, the current version is largely nonfunctional for many customers, leaving web access as the primary alternative.

Pros

Historically allowed tracking of usage and billing history.
Previously worked reliably for years before the recent issues.
Quick-pay via email link is possible as a workaround when the app fails (noted by some users).

Recent reviews

My smart meter was hacked twice this year so far and now for the past couple weeks the app says “Oops! Daily usage data is unavailable.” Ameren installed a new meter and reversed the charges and I couldn’t see daily usage for over a month. It worked for about a week now it’s always unavailable. Every few days the app made me have to go through setting up a finger print again too, which sucks. Never had problem with any other app and biometrics. Other than that, it’s swell when it works. Don’t know why it takes Ameren a couple days to push out everyone’s meter reading when they collect it daily and every 15 minutes. The smart pricing is a sham too. I had it for about a year and what a rip. And why didn’t Illinois approve plug in solar like other states. Friggin’ monopolies are psychopaths. Data centers moving in and raising rates for everyone else bc of s&d, yet the state and electric union don’t pass plug in solar. Another reason to gtf out of Illi!

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled this app and every time I try to log in to my account it immediately logs me back out before I can see anything. I can’t even set up Face ID before it just start logging me out.
