User Reviews

Pulsara is praised for real-time, coordinated communication that speeds STEMI/stroke care and improves patient outcomes, with strong customer support and broad adoption. Recurring drawbacks include login/sign-on friction across agencies, notification/alert management (notably on Apple Watch and volume control), and requests for scheduling shifts plus some UI usability concerns. Overall, the platform’s benefits for team coordination and treatment times outweigh the cons, though feature and usability enhancements are commonly requested.
Pros
  • Real-time, bidirectional communication across EMS and receiving facilities, improving coordination from the field to the ED.
  • Significant reductions in time-to-treatment metrics (door-to-needle/door-to-balloon) and streamlined STEMI/stroke activations.
  • Broad adoption and enhanced care with shared EKGs/images and real-time updates for the entire team.
  • Excellent customer support and responsiveness during implementation and ongoing use.
Cons
  • Login and agency-switching friction; lack of true single sign-on across multiple agencies leads to tedious logins and password juggling.
  • Poor/complicated notification management, especially Apple Watch alerts that cannot be muted or controlled cleanly and volume behavior that can cause missed calls.
  • Requests for scheduling call shifts and some user interface concerns (clunky UX) are noted by multiple reviewers.
  • Some reviewers report reliability issues related to onboarding/updates; overall stability could be more consistent across deployments.
Recent reviews
First login stopped working, cannot create a second as requested. In theory it seems alright but in practice just a frustrating and useless app. Second star is to allow for it to get worse and re-rate lower.

This app has completely revolutionized how we as prehospital providers communicate with receiving facilities.

Poor notification management for Apple Watch integration. Even on mute will continue to notify. Very bothersome when on a run, or in a movie theatre. Unable to figure out how to stop the relay without hampering notifications on the phone.
