I just got home in Seattle from an amazing ten day tour of Ireland aboard Eddy’s bus. Two of us on that bus were west coast Teamsters and a third fellow was LAPD. We all agreed that Eddy was a highly skilled driver. I was only half kidding when I told him that I would buy a ticket to watch him drive. Eddie did more than drive, at every turn he was willing and able to go over and beyond his duties. He went the extra mile to handle all the problems that inevitably arose, without complaint, and he was a source of information about everything Irish, history, geography, music, culture and how to drink a Guinness. We miss his company already.
