RTP Viewer lets you view Road Trip Planner files on Apple devices. Create and edit RTP files with Road Trip Planner for iOS or OS X, then anyone can view the files with this app. It is free, requires no subscription, and respects your privacy by not collecting any data.

While you can edit the files with this app, you cannot save your edits here. The iOS app Road Trip Planner at the App Store is virtually identical and allows saving edits. The extension includes several sample files (including a Route 66 sample) to help you get started. For more information or bug reports, contact us via the Support URL.

I’ve love this app since I downloaded it!! It’s the best app and computer program ever to plan out long roadtrips with LOTS of locations and lots of details.

I’ve used RTP since 2019 and have worked well with it so far. Moving the pins to Apple Map so they appear in CarPlay can be a challenge at first but once I figured out the process it became routine. That’s as much due to Apple’s software support as it is RTP software. If RTP was directly supported in CarPlay, it would be much better.
