Features & Capabilities

Blast Golf's Swing & Stroke Analyzer Chrome extension pairs with the Blast Golf app and hardware to deliver real-time swing and stroke feedback. It uses 3D motion capture and Bluetooth to accurately capture metrics from the tee to the green, with modes for full swing, short game, bunker play, and air swing practice. Attaching the Swing & Stroke Analyzer to your club and using Smart Video Capture lets you view slow-motion analysis, share videos with your instructor, and track progress anytime.

Coaches, players, and parents can unlock advanced analytics via membership or a free trial, receiving automatic assessments on tempo, speed control, and face angle. The extension supports offline use during play, easy coach feedback through video markup and voice-over, and a streamlined workflow to identify strengths, drills, and improvements—helping you train with purpose.

User Reviews

Users praise real-time data and practical putting/tempo insights, but persistent complaints center on mandatory subscriptions, daily usage caps, and reliability issues. The upfront cost is often viewed as undermined by ongoing fees, making overall value depend on willingness to pay continually.
Pros
  • Real-time data and instant feedback on swings and putting
  • Useful insights for tempo, swing speed, and putter face angle
  • Clear, easy-to-read data that supports quick practice decisions
  • On-device insights that users report translating to actual improvements
Cons
  • Mandatory subscription after upfront purchase and ongoing fees
  • Usage limits without subscription (e.g., 15 swings/putts per day)
  • Connectivity and reliability issues between the sensor and the app
  • Buggy app performance and perceived bait-and-switch pricing

I like many others have found out that functionality that was free a year ago is now restricted unless you pay a subscription fee. While it’s not expensive, it’s no where near worth it and honestly I would never pay it on principle.

When I purchase the Blast Golf Sensor, there was no required subscription for recording swing data. No there is a $60 per year subscription or you are limited to 10 swings per day. Makes the sensor as a training tool ..useless. Buyer Beware.

Was a great app that would let you hit hundreds of putts a day. Now you have a limit of 15. Not even worth it to get it out to practice because you have to pay to hit more than that
