User Reviews

Users largely report that the FCCB iPhone app is unreliable and frequently unusable, with repeated login failures, crashes, and being unable to open the app. The UX is described as outdated and hard to navigate, lacking visibility into pending transactions. Missing features like Zelle and modern security (FIDO2) are noted. The app's ongoing issues, possibly tied to a post-bank acquisition, have led many to consider switching banks, though some customers still like FCCB as a brand and hope for fixes.
Pros
  • The bank itself is well-regarded and trusted by customers.
  • Some users report the app has worked reliably in the past.
  • A long-standing relationship with FCCB indicates customer loyalty and willingness to continue using FCCB services.
Cons
  • Frequent app reliability problems: crashes, system errors, and the app often not opening or loading.
  • Chronic login/authentication issues: login failures, password/PIN problems, Face ID inconsistencies.
  • Outdated and confusing UX: hard to find information, poorly organized, lacks visibility into pending transactions or holds.
  • Missing features and modern security: no Zelle support, limited security updates (no FIDO2).
  • Post-acquisition/migration issues: app performance problems linked to ownership changes and ongoing instability.

This app is awful, every time I log on to check my balances or deposit a check it’s not working. I have to run to the brick and mortar just to check a balance it’s not a very efficient system and it’s just frustrating to have to run for banking information that should be readily available on the app.

I’ve been banking with FCCB for a while now and genuinely like the bank itself, but the mobile app is a completely different story. It is extremely not user friendly and feels very outdated, like it hasn’t been meaningfully updated in years. The biggest issue is how poorly everything is organized. There’s no clear or reliable way to view pending transactions, account holds, or anything like that. Money either comes out or it doesn’t, and if something seems off, there’s no easy way to track down what happened. That’s a huge problem when you’re trying to manage your finances responsibly. The layout is confusing, important information is hard to find, and overall it just feels clunky and behind the times compared to other banking apps. It desperately needs a redesign to improve organization and usability. I really do like FCCB as a bank, but I absolutely despise this app. It makes something that should be simple way more frustrating than it needs to be.
