User Reviews
Pros
- Tone library and community sharing with syncing to the amp (easy to download tones and have them load into the amp).
- Provides tone editing and signal-chain control, enabling flexible guitar tones via the app.
- Considered by some users as one of the best Bluetooth remote apps for amplifiers and shows strong potential.
- Part of a capable AMPLIFi ecosystem with flexible effects and a broad range of tones.
Cons
- Frequent crashes and overall instability of the app (crashes, freezes).
- Bluetooth connections to the amp are unreliable, with dropouts and random disconnects.
- Firmware/app update loops and OS compatibility issues causing load failures or endless prompts.
- Non-intuitive UI and rigid, hard-to-move signal-flow controls (experimental interface quirks).
- Perceived lack of ongoing support or updates for the product.

The AMPLIFi product line fit perfectly into my living room music lifestyle, enriching life with instruments in social settings that would otherwise be limited to passive background music. The physical product sounds great as a Bluetooth speaker, works as a computer recording interface, and makes playing along new and fun. The flexibility and selection of effects shines even when compared to a newer Spark amp. Allowing the community to contribute tones and popularity to dictate easy access is another example of how much fun and practicality this system could have offered.
Sadly this system never worked without crashing or otherwise breaking more than one in 10 times or about ten minutes per hour spent trying. When it was new there were still occasional updates, and I wanted so badly for it to work. I also kept my numerous iPhones/iPads over the years up to date and tried android devices as well. Since we’ve seen that it CAN work, and other Line6 products do work, I was never able to just write this off and stop trying. That’s probably why I’m so bitter that they failed to fix the bugs then stopped trying completely far as I can tell.
Ten years later, I’ve only actually been able to enjoy this for a day a month. I never trusted it enough to bring to a gig or jam session. It’s a perfect example of a real shame.
Line6, feel free to fix mine so I can get back some small percentage of those wasted hours and lost inspiration 😞

Used to like this thing and the amp, but since upgrading to iPhone 15 Pro, I can only play music through the amp. Can’t get guitar to make a single sound.

Alright app but only good if they updated it and made it possible to actually use the amp
