First launched in 2011, MapAlerter.ie is a free alert service for people living in Ireland who want to receive important service notifications from their County or City Council. The alerts you receive are based on your preferred location (eg, Eircode) so you will only receive updates for issues and events that affect you.

Councils issue alerts across a number of service areas on MapAlerter, including: -- Water Service Alerts & Boil Water Notices -- Severe Weather Hazards (fallen trees & power lines) -- Road Closures & Diversion Alerts -- Miscellaneous Council Alerts & Event Notices -- Flood Alerts & Severe Weather Warnings -- Planning Application Activity ** Check on MapAlerter.ie to see what categories are used by your Council. In some cases a Council may only issue alerts for some of these categories.
