Town Crier watches your local council's planning register and sends you a push notification when a new application is submitted in the area you care about. Coverage runs across councils in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

WHY TOWN CRIER

Councils publish thousands of planning applications every week. Most people only hear about a development next door when the scaffolding goes up, by which point the comment deadline has usually passed.

Town Crier fixes that. Set a watch zone around an area that matters to you and we'll send a push notification when a new application goes live there, usually within hours of the council publishing it.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Enter a postcode. We use it to find the council that handles planning in your area.
2. Draw a watch zone. Pick a radius around your home, office or a wider area.
3. Get notified. Push notifications fire when new applications appear, and again when their status changes.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings.

DATA AND PRIVACY

Planning data comes from PlanIt (planit.org.uk), the UK's leading aggregator of local authority planning data. We poll councils regularly so new applications surface in the app shortly after publication.

We collect only what's needed to run the service: your email address, a user ID and your notification preferences. We don't sell your data and we don't send marketing email.

Always verify critical planning information directly with your council before acting on it.
