User Reviews

Tresorit offers strong client-side encryption and privacy-centric cloud storage with easy setup and dependable performance across Apple and Microsoft ecosystems. However, several reviews flag a problematic UI/UX, expensive pricing, inconsistent support, and some password-entry quirks on iOS. The product is praised for security and reliability but criticized for usability friction and value communication.
Pros
  • Strong client-side encryption and security (privacy by design).
  • Privacy-focused data hosting (data stored in Switzerland) with strong regulatory privacy.
  • Easy to use with straightforward setup and smooth uploads.
  • Long-term reliability and stable performance over years.
  • Good cross-platform integration with Apple and Microsoft accounts.
Cons
  • UI/UX issues and clunky user experience, including limited file actions and poor integration with iOS Files.
  • Pricing is perceived as expensive with limited subscription options and unclear value.
  • Customer support is inconsistent or unresponsive.
  • Password handling issues on iOS (difficulty entering a custom password and password autofill overwriting).

The prodigal son returns. Made my exodus away from Proton Drive after realizing it wasn’t the enterprise product I was looking for. Tresorit has always been a solid product when it came to E2E file storage. Stable, and usable.

This app randomly rejects normal files and UI is worst in class. CROSS FINGERS WHEN YOU UPLOAD - Files that work fine on other devices and file services, are randomly rejected. UI UNMANAGEABLE - So many flaws that add hours to operate — you can’t even “select all” or perform functions
