Review summary

Users praise Bible Drill as a convenient, accessible tool for memorize Scripture and practicing Bible drill on the go, with multiple study modes and easy group use. However, the app lacks several common Bible translations (notably KJV; NIV requested), and users want a built-in timer to pace drills. Some reports mention outdated content, and occasional bugs affect saved verses, but overall feedback highlights its usefulness for individuals and church groups.
Pros
  • Great tool for memorizing Scripture and practicing Bible Drill, helping groups study effectively.
  • Easy to use and highly portable on mobile for on-the-go study.
  • Versatile study modes and customization (test yourself, write out, bubbles, flash cards; age group and Bible version).
  • Supports Bible drill groups and is valued by drillers and churches.
Cons
  • Limited Bible versions (no King James Version; NIV and other versions requested).
  • No built-in timer; users want a timer to pace drills.

2023-08-02 jo***** I purchased this, wanting to learn the word of God, but when I opened the app, I found out it did not contain the word of God because it did not have the King James Version.

2020-09-25 re***** A platform was made to memorize scripture instead of having to use basic index cards. Concept is there, but would like to see more from a paid app. Expanded settings and editing. I hope it’s encouraging to know others are counting on you to bless God’s people with further developing this potentially great tool. September 2020 Edit: My created verses are not showing at all...iPhone X

2019-06-08 ma***** Awesome App! I'm so glad someone finally made an App for this. Bible Drill is a great way to learn scripture. This App will really help my group learn the verses and practice them.

2018-12-22 Ni***** On the 2018 Blue Cycle high school in the KJV “What We Believe” section, The verse for “What does the Bible say about the authority of the scripture” (Psalm 19:7-8) has one wrong word in it. Instead of it saying “The STATUTES of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart.”, it says “The STATUES of the Lord are right rejoicing the heart.”...which makes it hard to study/learn the verse because if you’re relying on the app to learn the verse, you would be learning it wrong, and it’s also confusing when you know what word it is, but it tells you it’s wrong when doing the “type it out” study style.

2018-12-11 Me***** I drill a lot but it is so much more fun. It has good and simple updates. It would be nice if there was a timer for the app that is my only request. Awesome app.

2017-04-13 sf***** This App is a great study/practice help, but would be even better with a timer option. As I help my child study and drill, having a timer built in the app would keep me from having to work with two devices. Also, adding underlined sections for verses and a practice drill section would be nice.
