Overview

Features & Capabilities

RoadReady logs teen Learner’s Permit practice sessions with an easy, centralized record. Parents can monitor progress against state requirements, log drives on multiple devices, and capture road type and weather conditions to build real-world experience.

Export printable logs for supervision and compliance, track multiple teen drivers, and receive safety suggestions to reinforce good driving habits. The app automatically stops logging when a drive ends and is part of The Parent’s Supervised Driving Program—recipient of the US Department of Transportation National Roadway Safety Award. Note: Continued GPS use in the background can significantly reduce battery life.

User Reviews

RoadReady is widely criticized for reliability issues that undermine its core function of logging driving hours. While a few users find it simple to use and capable of exporting logs, many report data loss, crashes/loads, login problems, and intrusive ads. The combination of unstable logging, frequent interruptions, and account issues leads users to abandon the app or revert to manual logging, though it remains briefly usable when it happens to work.
Pros
  • Simple one-button logging flow (start/stop) for recording drives.
  • Ability to export/print driving logs.
  • Generally easy to use when it works, with a straightforward logging process.
  • Some users report it helps reach driving-hour goals when functioning.
Cons
  • Drives/logs not saving reliably; hours can be lost or missing after logging.
  • App frequently crashes or gets stuck on a loading screen, often requiring reinstall.
  • Login/account issues including password reset errors and occasional loss of access after reinstall.
  • Ads are intrusive and can cover critical UI elements, hindering logging and review of data.
  • Timer/logging stops or data stops persisting when switching apps or the phone sleeps, making accurate tracking unreliable.

I had almost all of my 60 hrs needed like 57! And with the reset thing that happened it will not let me sign back in because of the password or something and I am taking me test in one month and I do not know what to do help me plzzz!

Since there was an update nothing but issues, initially issues migrating, reached out with no response, eventually figured out on own but then keep getting errors. Almost every time I try to log something and making it difficult to keep track of hours since having to manually track between the times it’s working.
