User Reviews

PalpationMapp is praised as an effective, portable study aid with clear visuals and palpation guidance, especially for massage therapy students and professionals, and it serves well as a quick reference alongside Trail Guide. However, recurring issues include missing audio, stability problems after OS updates, and intermittent video playback problems.
Pros
  • Clear visuals and muscle/bone overlays with step-by-step palpation explanations.
  • Portable, convenient on-the-go reference that complements Trail Guide and is useful for quick refreshers before teaching.
  • Strong value for massage therapy students and professionals; widely regarded as an essential study tool.
  • Useful video content and structured practice clips to reinforce palpation skills.
Cons
  • No sound / audio missing in the app (a critical feature that many users expect).
  • App stability and compatibility issues after iOS updates (crashes, not running, videos not playing).
  • Occasional video playback issues (videos won’t play or are hard to access).

Love this app soo much I have the hard copy books as well but this is so great to just have in my back pocket and use as a refresher before teaching yoga classes and workshops. I highness recommended getting the bundle. It is well worth it.

Great reference and review when trying to palpate muscles
by B1*****, 2024-10-23

I’m in massage school and one of our texts is Trail Guide. The videos in this app are available thru the publishers website with the book code, but for ease of use, the app can’t be beat. The videos can also be purchased on Vimeo if you’d rather use that. But the Vimeo platform is not as navigable. I feel like I should watch these until I memorize the entire script!
