Pitchline is a tuner, metronome, ear trainer and chord chart for iPhone, laid out like the front panel of a small practice amp. Press a channel key and play. The tuner is free for guitar, bass and ukulele, with no ads and no account.

TUNE A backlit meter with a real needle shows the note and how many cents you are off. Three lamps say flat, in tune or sharp. Pitchline finds the string you play, or you can tap a string, set the switch to Hold and play its reference tone to tune by ear.

TEMPO Turn the tempo knob or tap the footswitch, from 20 to 300 BPM. One lamp lights per beat. The click keeps going with the screen locked, and the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island show the tempo with Stop and plus/minus keys. There's also a widget and a Control Center button.

EAR Pitchline plucks two notes and you name the gap, such as a perfect fifth or a major third. Or it plays an A and then another note, and you find it on the keys. It keeps your streak and shows which interval needs work.

CHORDS Pick a root and a chord type and the chart draws the fingering for guitar or ukulele: open shapes first, then barre shapes up the neck. Tap the diagram to hear it strummed.

PRACTICE LOG Flip PRACTICE on when you start. The hour meter rolls, the time is split by channel, and the log shows the last seven days and your streak.
