Ad-supported, same real pint
Everything the paid app does - nine drinks, five games, the same photoreal pour and slosh - ad-supported instead of a purchase. Barwoman unlocks with one short ad.
The same photorealistic pint, paid for by ads instead of a purchase.
Fake Beer - Virtual Pint puts a photorealistic drink on your screen and traces light through it properly - the camera behind your phone is live, so the glass refracts your actual table, your actual kitchen, whatever is really there. Tilt the phone and it pours. Tilt it back and it sloshes, with its own real resonance rather than a canned wobble. Nothing about it is a picture or a video - it is traced, pixel by pixel, from the same physics a real glass obeys, and it is the exact same rendering as the paid Fake Beer app.
WHY IT LOOKS REAL
Beer has no colour of its own - it's a filter, and the amber-to-black range comes from how far light has to travel through it, not from a paint bucket. The colours here are derived from SRM, the brewing industry's own colour measurement, so the edge of a pint is genuinely a shade lighter than the middle, the way a real one is. The head is lit by whatever room you're in, not painted white. Bubbles rise in straight, regular streams from fixed spots on the glass, the way a scratch or a fibre releases them in a real one. Tilt the glass and the liquid holds its exact volume at any angle, because the surface is solved geometrically rather than animated.
NINE DRINKS.
Lager, Bitter, Stout, Cider, Lemonade, Milk, Champagne, Red wine, White wine - styles, not products, so nothing here is a real brand. Pints get a choice of nonic or conical glass, wine gets its own bowl shape, and Champagne pours into a proper flute with its own rising bubbles and head. Your last drink and glass are remembered next time you open the app.
FIVE WAYS TO PLAY.
Don't Spill - fill it to the brim, press Go, and after a 3-2-1 countdown a big stopwatch runs until a drop goes over the rim. Split the Drinks - drink down to exactly half in one gulp, by feel. Three Levels - 75%, then half, then a quarter, each within 5% to unlock the next. Custom Split - pick your own mark. Perfect Pour - tilt to pour a proper head from empty: too little agitation and it's flat, too much and it's overfoamed. All are graded on what actually happened to the liquid, and every result comes with a picture of the bar staff - a barwoman or a barman - and a card to share.
CHEERS.
Knock the phone against a real glass, or a friend's phone, and it toasts back: the beer jolts, the phone buzzes and a picture of your bar person flashes up. Nothing about the knock itself is sent anywhere: the phone only feels its own knock.
ABOUT THE ADS.
A banner ad sits in Settings, plus an occasional interstitial when you restart a game or ask for a refill - never over the pint itself, never mid-game. Barman is unlocked from the start, always. Barwoman is normally locked, and one short rewarded ad unlocks her for five toasts before she locks again. No purchases of any kind: nothing to buy, no subscription, nothing to sign in for.
A COLD GLASS BEHAVES LIKE ONE.
Condensation is simulated droplet by droplet: it beads up, drops merge, and the heavy ones run down with gravity, leaving a clear track that mists over again. Wipe it with a finger and the water gathers into a drop that runs like the rest. Upside-down mode flips the whole picture, and Settings can keep the controls - or just Refill - on screen at all times if you'd rather they never duck away.
YOUR ROOM, YOUR PRIVACY.
The camera frame goes straight to the screen and is released - nothing is recorded, saved or sent anywhere. Choosing to share a result composes a single picture for you to send, and only then. Say no to the camera and the glass refracts a synthetic room instead - everything else still works.
Want it without ads, with Barwoman included from the start and Cheers on full video? Fake Beer (without "Virtual Pint") is the same app for a single 99p purchase.
