Hong Kong Mahjong Counter runs the bookkeeping for a real game played with a real physical tile set. Set up your four players, pick how many winds you're playing (East round only, East + South, or all four), and the app tracks everything else: whose deal it is, the dealer's win streak, the prevailing wind, and each player's running total.

RECORD A ROUND When someone wins, record how (self-drawn or off a discard), who discarded if relevant, and the winning hand. Enter tiles two ways: • Photograph the hand — on-device Vision detects tile-shaped regions and reads the printed characters on winds, dragons, and the characters suit to suggest tiles. • Enter tiles manually — tap them in from a full 34-tile grid, just as fast, and completely reliable. Every tile — recognized or manual — passes through an editable confirmation screen before it's ever scored, so a misread never costs you a hand.

FAN SCORING, DONE RIGHT The scoring engine covers the standard Hong Kong old-style fan table: self-draw, dragon and wind pungs, half/full flush, all pungs, seven pairs, the limit hands (Big Three Dragons, Thirteen Orphans, Nine Gates, Heavenly/Earthly Hand, and more), kongs, and flower/season matches. Ambiguous hands are automatically scored whichever valid way pays the most, per standard convention. Every fan value, the minimum to win, the limit, and the dealer's payment multiplier are yours to edit in Settings if your table plays house rules.

RUN THE WHOLE GAME • Dealer and prevailing wind advance automatically as hands are played, including the round-wind shift after all four seats have dealt. • A round-by-round history log shows every hand: who won, how, the tiles, the fans applied, and the points. • Undo the last round if you mis-recorded something. • Save a few event photos alongside the game for the memories, separate from the tile-recognition photos.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN Everything lives on your device. Games are saved locally; there's no account, no server, no ads, and no internet connection required. Camera and photo-library access is used only to read the tiles in a photo you provide — nothing is ever uploaded.

Hong Kong Mahjong Counter is a scorekeeping companion for a traditional tile game played among friends and family. It calculates fan and points only; it does not process payments, real-money wagers, or in-app purchases of any kind.
