Listen, explore, practice
Explore the chords, key, and tempo in your music. Listen live or import a file, review the results, and practice at your pace—all with on-device analysis.
Hear the rhythm. Explore the harmony.
ChordLuma helps you estimate chords, musical key, and tempo from nearby music or an imported file. Follow live estimates, explore a saved chord timeline, and practice with your own music—all with audio analysis on your iPhone or iPad.
LISTEN LIVE
Start listening to see tempo, beat-grid status, global key, and the current chord. A sound-reactive display shows incoming activity while the analyzer gathers evidence. Explore recent chord estimates in the Live Harmony Map, with clear learning, held, and no-chord states.
IMPORT AND EXPLORE
Choose compatible, unprotected audio or video through Files. Review tempo and key estimates, a chord timeline, and the Harmony Map. Completed analyses are saved locally so you can return to them later.
MAKE THE RESULTS YOURS
Correct BPM or key and edit chord intervals without overwriting the detected chord timeline. Split or merge supported intervals, reset to the detected version, and search or sort your saved library.
PRACTICE AT YOUR PACE
Link the original file for playback, seeking, and A–B looping. Adjust playback speed from 50% to 125% while preserving pitch. An optional practice click follows the saved detected beats when a playable beat grid is available.
GUITAR HELP, WHEN YOU NEED IT
Explore standard fingerings for supported chords, capo starting points, and display-only transposition. Live guitar tools use fresh estimates; saved Results let you inspect the selected chord. Transpose and capo display controls do not pitch-shift the original audio.
SHARE A CHORD CHART
Export derived results as timed TXT, ChordPro, or PDF. Manual corrections are identified, and source audio is never included in the chart.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account, ads, tracking, or cloud audio analysis. Live listening does not save a recording. Imported originals are not copied into the analysis library; a removable source link lets you reconnect for playback. Delete saved analyses without deleting your original music.
KNOW THE LIMITS
ChordLuma is a learning and practice aid, not a perfect transcription service. It estimates major, minor, and dominant-seventh chords, plus no-chord passages, and works best with clear tonal music and a reasonably steady tempo. Noise, dense mixes, complex harmony, and related major/minor keys can cause uncertain or incorrect results. Estimates may take several seconds to settle, and chord changes can lag. Review and correct results when needed.
Live listening requires microphone permission. File support depends on your device's decoder; DRM-protected and streaming-service tracks are not supported. The included sample is a visualization without playable source audio. Requires iOS or iPadOS 18 or later. App interface: English.
