Baristat: Coffee Brew Guide

Your pocket barista: follow a recipe, record your cup and find your next adjustment. With guided brewing, a memory of your coffees and help from Bari.

Brew a cup you want to make again. Baristat brings coffee recipes, guided brewing and a coffee journal together. After each cup, the Brew Engine can suggest one change at a time, based on your evaluation and the equipment you actually have.

RECIPES FOR YOUR BREW METHOD Find a starting point for V60, Melitta, French press, AeroPress, Chemex and other methods. Adjust the coffee dose, water, ratio and temperature for the brew you want to make. The full recipe library is included with Pro.

A GUIDE AND TIMER WHILE YOU BREW See how much water to pour, how long to wait and what comes next. Follow the time for each step and the total brew time, with clear instructions that let you focus on the coffee.

ONE ADJUSTMENT AT A TIME Tell Baristat how your cup tasted. When there is enough information, the Brew Engine suggests one change for your next brew, such as temperature, ratio or grind, within the controls available to you. If the cup was excellent, repeating it is a useful next step too.

YOUR COFFEES AND BEAN STOCK Keep the origin, roast, process and tasting notes for each coffee. Track how much is left and start a brew with the coffee you want to use.

A COFFEE JOURNAL YOU CAN BREW FROM Look back at recipes, brew parameters and evaluations. Find a cup, brew it again and follow the adjustments you have applied. Essential evaluation records satisfaction and impressions; Pro adds sensory intensities and tasting notes.

ASK BARI Get help with specialty coffee, brewing methods, grind and ratios. Ask for a recipe and open a guided brew from the conversation. Bari is an online coffee assistant; the Brew Engine calculates your adjustments locally.

START WITH THE EQUIPMENT YOU OWN Basic brewing works without an external login. Recipes available in the app, guided brewing, evaluation and the Brew Engine can work offline. Bari requires internet. You do not need an adjustable grinder or a temperature-controlled kettle to get started.

FREE AND PRO Free includes 6 recipes, up to 2 coffees, your 5 most recent brews and essential evaluation. It also includes 3 useful Brew Engine adjustments per installation and 1 useful Bari response. These allowances do not reset each month.

Baristat Pro expands access with the full recipe library, your own and Bari's recipes, full brew history, more coffees and advanced evaluation. Subscription features and terms are shown in the app before purchase.

Available in English, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese. Useful for your first pour over and for exploring the details of specialty coffee.

OPTIONAL DATA SHARING At the end of onboarding, a visible switch lets you choose whether to share structured brewing and usage data. It starts enabled for new installations and can be disabled before continuing or later in Settings, without changing Free or Pro access. Personal observations and custom free-text tasting notes are excluded.
