Shichijin (七陣) is the perfect-answer puzzle game. No luck, no timers, no ads. There is only one placement that solves each board — and the art is finding it.

THE CORE LOOP

Deal yourself a hand of seven samurai types. Choose up to four to place on the scattered board. Press play and watch the battle resolve with perfect determinism: the strongest piece acts first, damage is always fixed, and the same board always plays out the same way. Your only decision is WHERE your pieces stand.

Win by defeating the whole army — or, on certain boards, by slipping past the guards and cutting down the Daimyō alone. Winning is often easy. Finding the placement that keeps every piece alive? That's the real puzzle.

THE PIECES

Seventeen warrior types, each with a fixed role: • Yari — a spear that strikes the nearest enemy at range • Teppō — a matchlock that looses a salvo, hitting every foe nearby • Ninja & Kunoichi — one-shot assassins that leap across the field for a single killing blow • Onmyōji — blesses nearby allies with extra strength • Castles, towers and pagodas dot the field — impassable, each aiding a neighbouring unit: a castle's walls soften blows, a watchtower's high ground adds strength, a pagoda extends reach
