Shikaku is a Japanese logic puzzle with one beautiful rule: divide the grid into rectangles so that each one contains exactly one number, and that number is how many cells the rectangle covers. Nothing is hidden, nothing is random. Everything you need is already on the board.

NO GUESSING. EVER. Most Shikaku apps hand you grids that have several valid answers, which quietly turns deduction into trial and error. Ours doesn't. Every board is checked by a solver before it ever reaches you, and only puzzles with a single possible solution are kept. If you reasoned your way there, you were right.

FIVE SIZES, REAL DIFFICULTY Easy 5x5 to warm up, then Medium 7x7, Hard 9x9, Expert 11x11 and Giant 13x13. Larger boards don't just add cells, they add ambiguity: bigger rectangles fit more ways, so you have to look further ahead before you commit.

Prefer a challenge? Turn on Mystery Mode and some clues arrive hidden. You'll have to work out what they must be from everything around them.

A 100-LEVEL JOURNEY Travel through five chapters, each with its own mood: Sakura Garden, Koi Pond, Bamboo Forest, Mount Fuji and Night Festival. Difficulty rises gently across all 100 levels, and every level is rated one to three stars based on your time and how few hints you leaned on.
