Engine Hours, Fuel & Service
Service intervals run on engine hours and the calendar at once, and come due on whichever lands first. Works with no signal, because that is where boats are.
The ship's log, made searchable.
Logline keeps the five records every boat actually needs — trips, engine hours, fuel, maintenance, and documents — in one place that works with no signal, because that is where boats are.
TRIPS
Start a trip with one tap, or let Logline notice you have left the dock and log it for you. Distance, duration, speed, crew, and conditions are captured as you go. Add a note at anchor. Add a photo when something matters.
ENGINE HOURS
A running hour log for every engine — single, twin, or triple, plus the generator. A reading that goes backwards gets questioned, not silently accepted. Replacing a gauge shifts every interval instead of quietly handing the engine free hours.
FUEL
Fill-ups with volume, price, and location. Consumption per hour, per mile, and per dollar, in the units you actually use — gallons, imperial gallons, or litres.
MAINTENANCE ON TWO CLOCKS
This is the part other apps get wrong. Every service interval runs on engine hours and calendar time at once, and comes due on whichever arrives first. The boat that ran hard all season and the boat that sat on the mooring both get told the truth. Overdue, due soon, on schedule — sorted by what needs doing next.
DOCUMENTS
Registration, insurance, survey, receipts. Scanned and kept on the device, behind your passcode, with a reminder before anything expires.
WHEN YOU SELL
A season of honest records becomes one document a buyer, a broker, or an underwriter can trust. The same history answers an insurance question without a shoebox of receipts.
OFFLINE, AND YOURS
Everything is stored on your iPhone or iPad. No account, no upload, no signal required. Every table exports to CSV and the whole record writes to a backup file, so your log is never locked in. Turn on iCloud sync and it goes to your own iCloud account, which we cannot read either.
IPHONE AND IPAD
One subscription covers both. iPad gets its own layout: a sidebar carrying the boat, the season and every record at once, with the map at full width.
WHAT LOGLINE IS NOT
It is not a chartplotter. It shows no charts, plots no courses, and routes you nowhere. It keeps the record, and it stays out of the way of whatever you navigate with.
SUBSCRIPTION
Logline is a subscription, and there is no free tier: a logbook with half the records in it is worse than no logbook, because you find out which half was missing at the survey.
• Monthly — billed each month.
• Annual — billed once a year, and it starts with two weeks free.
Prices are shown in the App Store before you subscribe. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in Settings, under your name, in Subscriptions. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when a subscription is bought.
If a subscription lapses you keep your logbook and can still write the whole record out to a file.
