App Blocker, Focus, Discipline
Block the apps that eat your day. Earn them back with push-ups, squats, walks or focus time. Counted on device. No account, no sign-up, no subscription.
Digital Detox blocks the apps that eat your day. To get them back, you do something real.
Pick what you lose hours to. Digital Detox shields it. The shield lifts only when you have earned minutes — and minutes come from push-ups, squats, jumping jacks, a walk, or focused work.
HOW IT WORKS
- Choose what to block — any app, any category, any website.
- Earn minutes with a habit. Your camera counts the reps on device.
- Spend them: 15, 30 or 60 minutes. The shield returns when time is up.
WHAT A HABIT BUYS
• 10 push-ups — 15 minutes
• 15 squats — 15 minutes
• 30 jumping jacks — 15 minutes
• 1,000 steps — 10 minutes
• 25 minutes of focus — 25 minutes, one to one. Work never buys more scrolling than it cost.
• 240 minutes a day, hard cap. You cannot bank a whole day and defeat the point.
Lock early and the unused minutes come back to you. Changing your mind is not punished.
REPS ARE COUNTED, NOT CLAIMED
On-device pose detection watches you move, so the phone has to actually see the work. No video is recorded, saved or uploaded. Steps are counted by your phone and never leave it.
YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
No account, ever. Camera frames are processed live and never recorded or uploaded. Digital Detox never learns which apps you picked. The only thing that leaves is anonymous usage counts — no advertising ID, no profile, and you can switch it off in the app.
PRICE
Free for 7 days with everything unlocked. Then one payment, once. No subscription, nothing to cancel.
Digital Detox uses Screen Time permission to shield your apps, and hands them back on your terms.
WHY A HABIT AND NOT A PASSCODE
Every other blocker asks you to be the kind of person who does not tap "ignore limit". Digital Detox does not ask that. It asks for ten push-ups. The barrier is your body rather than your willpower, and a body is very hard to argue with at 1am.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
Most screen time apps are a lock whose key you keep. You set a limit, the limit appears, you tap through it, and nothing has changed except that you feel worse. Digital Detox removes the key. There is no passcode to remember and no "just this once" button, because the only way through is work you actually did.
The exercise is not decoration either. Ten push-ups is a real ten push-ups, counted by on-device pose detection that has to see you move. Claiming them does nothing at all. That is why this app sits in Health & Fitness: the scrolling you buy back is paid for in reps.
WHO IT IS FOR
• You open an app to check one thing and lose forty minutes.
• You have set screen time limits before and dismissed them every single day.
• You would rather pay for the scroll than pretend you have quit it.
• You want the exercise to be the point, not a gimmick.
WHAT YOU CAN BLOCK
Any app on your phone, any App Store category, and any website. Pick one app or pick forty. The picker is Apple's own, so Digital Detox never learns which apps you chose.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Does it need an internet connection? No — every habit, count, timer and shield runs on the phone.
Can I cheat by changing the system clock? No — a window is anchored to elapsed time, not to the wall clock.
What if I am injured, or in public? The Walk habit needs only steps and the Focus habit needs only a timer. Neither uses the camera.
Does it fight with Screen Time limits I already set? No. Digital Detox uses the same Apple framework, so the two stack rather than collide.
Can I turn it off? Yes, at any moment, in iOS Settings. Digital Detox is a tool for you, not a warden.
