Soil Color Pro

Soil Color Pro estimates soil color from an iPhone or iPad camera.

Open Live and keep soil inside the fixed center target. The target always matches the pixels being averaged, and the closest color name and swatch appear beside it. With Pro, Auto Reference can recognize a neutral gray card, white paper, or yellow note elsewhere in the frame, mark the detected patch, and use it to correct the live reading.

Capture or choose a photo with Pro when you want a documented reading. Soil Color Pro averages the circular target, rejects clipped highlights and deep shadows, trims luminance extremes, and reduces color outliers. Move the target anywhere in the photo to update the averaged swatch, color name, field notation, confidence, and nearby named colors.
