Reps measured by the depth sensor, not guessed from a camera. Put the phone on the floor and go.

Your phone lies on the floor, screen up. You get into position. It starts counting.

Push Push Push measures push-ups with the Face ID depth sensor — the distance from the screen to your face. Not a camera guessing at a picture of you: a distance, in centimetres, sixty times a second. A rep is the fall and the rise of that curve.

NOTHING TO TAP Settle into position and the set begins. Lift the phone and the set is done. There is no button to reach for from a plank, because reaching for one means leaving the position the app just walked you into.

IT SHOWS YOU WHERE TO LIE DOWN Flat is not enough — the first person handed this app laid it a foot to one side and filmed the carpet. Once the phone is flat, the field shows what the sensor can actually see. The bright shape is you. Put it in the middle.

SPEED, NOT JUST COUNT The trace is a grid, and the height of each column is how fast you moved. A quick descent smears across the field; a hold at the bottom collapses to one square. You can watch a set slow down.

IT SAYS WHEN IT COULD NOT MEASURE If tracking was lost mid-rep, the rep still counts — but it is marked with ≈ and left out of every average. An app that measures should not hand you a guess with a decimal point on it.

THE DAY, THEN THE WEEKS One square per rep, one column per day, rest days included as empty columns. A fortnight with two sessions in it looks like a fortnight with two sessions in it.

NOTHING LEAVES YOUR PHONE No account, no sign-in, no leaderboard, no analytics. The app has no networking code in it at all — your sets are files on your device and nowhere else.
