Measure, try decor & furniture
Room Planner measures your room with your phone and shows what you photographed in a store or found online — on a photo of your room, to scale and in your light. We made it for the moment in a store when you look at a sofa you want to buy and think: "Gorgeous... but will it work at home?"
Now you can visualize it: shoot the laminate, curtains or a paint sample — a try-on on your room photo takes 15–20 seconds.
WHERE TO START
If you have an iPhone 12 Pro, Pro Max or any Pro after them — or an iPad Pro from 2020 on — just walk around the room with your phone. The room plan draws itself: walls, windows, doors and openings, width, length, height, floor area. No tape measure, no numbers to type in.
A simpler phone is fine too. You draw the room plan yourself in the editor — no special skills needed. You don't start from a blank page, but from a ready 3 × 4 meter room with a door and a window — just fit it to yours.
Then the app asks for four shots and says which corner to stand in. Four diagonals, and the whole room is covered. If a shot is blurry, we'll spot it and offer a retake.
TRYING THINGS ON IS EASY
- Add a photo of the item: shoot it in the store, save one from an online catalog, or pick one from the gallery.
- Name it in plain words: "gray linen sofa", "oak laminate". If you know the sizes, type them in — the item will sit more precisely. Items go to your library and work for any room.
- Say where to put it in plain words: "against the left wall, across from the window". The room plan goes into the request on its own, so the item lands to scale and doesn't overlap what's already there.
- Wait: a notification comes when the try-on is ready.
WHAT YOU CAN TRY ON
• Furniture: sofa, armchair, wardrobe, table, shelving unit, bed
• Floors: laminate, parquet, tile, carpet — boards run under your furniture
• Curtains: fabric on your window, at your ceiling height
• Paint and wallpaper: color from a photo of a sample, on your walls
• Light: ceiling light, floor lamp, wall sconce
• Decor: picture, mirror, flowers
• And anything else: a Christmas tree in December, a cat on the windowsill, a dog by the door
A photo isn't required. You can just write what you want done: "take out the wardrobe", "move the sofa to the other wall", "swap the floor for a lighter one", "paint the walls warm gray". Play with it — the room is yours.
WHY IT'S NOT JUST A PRETTY PICTURE
Chatbots draw a perfect magazine interior, not your room: they invent a window, change the floor, add a wardrobe that was never there. They don't know your sizes, so the sofa lands at whatever scale looks nice.
Block-by-block design tools are honest, but a chore: build the layout piece by piece, choose furniture from their catalog — and it still isn't your room.
We work with what you already have: a photo of your room and a room plan with measurements. The plan goes into every try-on, so a two-meter sofa stays two meters. Your window, your radiator, your slightly crooked corner — all in place.
NOTHING GETS LOST
Like the result — accept it, and the next edit goes on top. Don't like it — turn it down, your photo stays untouched. We keep the whole history: every accepted version is saved with its date and your request, so you can go back to any step.
You can rescan the room any time; older versions stay put. You edit the room plan by hand: drag walls and openings with a finger, type exact values as numbers. Meters or feet — whichever you're used to.
SUBSCRIPTION
Free — one try-on a day and up to three rooms: take your time.
Need more — a monthly or yearly subscription lifts the limits. The price depends on your region and is shown in the App Store. Turn off auto-renewal any time in your Apple ID settings.
Photos live on your iPhone. They go to the server only for the try-on, and are deleted with the room or the account.
Requires iOS 17 or later.
Happy renovating!
