Pulse follows the vibration
No sound, no screen to stare at, no score to chase. Your Apple Watch reads your heart and vibrates just under it, and your pulse follows the vibration down.
BeatSleep does one thing. Your Apple Watch reads your heart, then vibrates on
your wrist just under your own rate. Your pulse follows the vibration down, and
you fall asleep.
No sound, and nothing to watch. The screen exists only to prove it is working,
and it fades away once you no longer need it.
HOW A NIGHT GOES
For the first 45 seconds nothing vibrates, while BeatSleep measures the rate you
are actually resting at. Then the cadence anchors there and sheds four beats
every ten minutes, staying just under your pulse: far enough to lead, close
enough to be followed. If a noise wakes you, it stops pulling and re-anchors to
your real heartbeat within a minute.
Apple Watch gives an app only a handful of vibration patterns, and most carry a
tone through the speaker. BeatSleep uses the one that does not, so the person
beside you sleeps through your night.
The night closes itself five minutes after your pulse has settled. A hard
fifteen minutes, or the whole night, are yours to set instead.
IN THE MORNING
Health will tell you that you slept seven hours. BeatSleep will tell you that
forty minutes of them were awake in eleven separate pieces, how long you took to
fall asleep, and how far your pulse fell below your resting rate. It reads Apple
Health, so there is something to show you on the very first morning.
NOTHING LEAVES YOUR DEVICES
No account. No server. No analytics, no advertising identifiers and no
third-party SDKs. Your heart rate is read from HealthKit on the watch, the
summary is computed there overnight, and it travels to your iPhone over Apple's
encrypted device link. If you turn on iCloud sync, your nights go to your own
private iCloud, in encrypted fields, never to us. You can export everything as a
file, or erase it for good, at any time.
BEATSLEEP PRO
Free leads three nights in any seven days, and they are whole nights: the same
descent, the same failsafe, the same morning summary. Pro lifts the count to
every night, and adds your full history, every month behind you, the Thrum and
Hush waveforms, a breath with your own four counts, iCloud sync, and the rest of
the colours.
BeatSleep Pro is €3.99 a month or €24.99 a year, billed to your Apple Account
and renewing until you cancel, which you can do at any time in Settings.
