OpenDoor is a social status-sharing app for close friend groups, roommates, and small communities. Users toggle a simple Open/Closed status to let friends know when they're available to be visited or contacted in person, similar to leaving a physical door open. When set to Open, users can add an optional message (e.g. "Cookies in the oven") and an auto-expiring timer, after which their status automatically reverts to Closed. Friends receive a push notification the moment someone's door opens. The app is designed for informal, everyday social coordination — an easier alternative to group texting to announce availability.
