TrueMiter Trim Bench

TrueMiter Trim Bench is an offline-first compound-miter workbench for finish carpenters, trim installers, and serious DIYers. Instead of hunting paper crown charts or guessing blade tilt on a phone calculator, pick a cut type, enter measured wall and spring angles or rise/run, and instantly get left/right miter and bevel with a live cross-section diagram of fence and blade.

CROWN & CORNER CALCULATOR Enter wall corner angle and molding spring angle—or pick a seeded profile. Choose inside or outside corner and get paired left/right miter and bevel to 0.1°, plus an optional saw-stop cheat sheet for common 31.6°/33.9° crowns.

POLYGON & MULTI-SIDED FRAMES Set side count (triangle through 12-gon) or a custom interior angle to compute identical miter/bevel pairs for picture frames, gazebo trim, and bay-window returns, with a top-down ring preview of each joint.

STAIR SKIRT & RAILING PITCH Input rise and run (or measured pitch angle) to derive plumb/level cuts and complementary miter for skirt boards, handrail returns, and wall-rail fittings.

LIVE CUT DIAGRAM An animated cross-section shows fence orientation, blade tilt direction, and workpiece face so you can match the phone to the saw without memorizing left-vs-right conventions. Flip the view for sliding vs non-sliding compound saws.

JOBS, ROOMS & CUT TICKETS Create a job with client or site name, add rooms and openings, and attach each calculated cut with quantity and notes. Edit later when field measurements change and recompute only the affected cuts. Generate a shareable PDF or plain-text ticket per room listing cut name, miter, bevel, quantity, and stock length estimate for shop printing or Messages handoff to a helper.

SEEDED MOLDING LIBRARY Twenty-plus common crown, casing, and base profiles with typical spring angles, plus quick-look charts for 3–12 sided polygons and standard stair pitches. Pin favorites and add custom profiles with a photo note of the stick.

WIDGETS & APP INTENTS Small and medium Home Screen widgets show the last cut’s miter/bevel and job name. The “New crown corner” App Intent opens the calculator prefilled from the last spring angle for one-tap shop use.

Everything runs on device—no account and no network required—so trim work stays accurate on site.
