Ear-iQ measures every answer by how accurate it is, in musical terms. Interval distances, chord-tone geometry, scale degree differences, notes shared in the key, and per-note pitch and rhythm differences tell you much more about your ear than simple right or wrong scoring.

MELODIC DICTATION

Transcribe an infinite stream of melodies on an interactive staff, rather than relying on a catalog of preset exercises. The engine uses real cadences, harmonic functions, and voice-leading rules to create natural, resolving melodies of appropriate complexity in real keys, meters, and clefs. Every response considers pitch, scale degree, interval, contour, and rhythm separately.

RHYTHMIC DICTATION

Learn to hear and notate rhythmic movement precisely, developing the working memory to untangle everything from simple counting to dense tuplets, syncopation, and ties.

INTERVALS
