BIM & IFC review, on device
Open federated IFC models on your iPad: navigate by storey, grid, and space, and raise BCF issues. All on-device, fully offline, nothing to sign in to.
Open a federated IFC model on your iPad and actually review it. Walk the building by storey, grid, and space, then raise and track the issues that matter. No desktop, no sign-in, no waiting on the cloud.
IFC Canvas is a touch-first BIM review and coordination tool built natively for iPad, not a desktop port, not a web wrapper. It opens IFC and IFCZIP models, renders large federated models fast, and gives you a real coordination workflow, not just a viewer. Apple Pencil friendly, and everything runs on-device.
OPEN AND EXPLORE
- Open IFC and IFCZIP files, including multiple disciplines federated together.
- Fast 3D rendering of large models, processed entirely on your device.
- Select any element to read its full properties; browse the model tree and hierarchy.
- Hide, isolate, and show all to cut through dense geometry; filter by storey.
- Crisp object outlines and color-by-property Visual Rules.
NAVIGATE LIKE A BIM PRO
- Storeys and levels: pick a level, isolate it, or drop into a top-down plan view with a per-level section box and per-storey thumbnails.
- Structural grids: labeled axes, grid overlay in 3D and on plans. Tap an axis for an instant orthographic elevation, or section by grid.
- Spaces, rooms, and zones: color by zone or department to read program at a glance.
- Native 2D floor plans, a measure tool, and a section / clipping box with graphics preferences.
COORDINATE AND RAISE ISSUES (BCF)
- Import and export BCF and BCFZIP to round-trip with your team's tools.
- Create an issue straight from the current view. It captures a snapshot, the viewpoint, and the elements you've linked.
- Work the Issues panel: filter by status, priority, type, and assignee; thread comments; track status.
- Roll up issues into a PDF for a meeting or a report.
SAVE WHERE YOU LEFT OFF
- Saved Views capture full viewer state, including camera, visibility, selection and section, so you can jump back to exactly what you were reviewing.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
- 100% on-device: no account, no sign-in, no cloud, no tracking, no ads. There's no backend to opt out of. Nothing you open is uploaded, logged, or shared.
- Nothing you open ever leaves your device. The only data that travels is your name and email embedded into a BCF file you explicitly export.
- Works fully offline: in the basement, on the jobsite, on a plane.
Built for BIM coordinators, architects, structural and MEP engineers, and site teams who need to review and coordinate federated models anywhere, with the native Apple feel of an app made for iPad, not a port of a desktop tool.
FREE TO TRY, SUBSCRIBE TO KEEP THE WORK
- Opening and reviewing a single IFC or IFCZIP file is free, forever, with the whole review toolkit: properties, model tree, levels, grids, spaces, floor plans, measure, section and visual rules, on-device. BCF import, authoring and export work in that session too.
- IFC Canvas Pro unlocks the Projects workspace: federate several discipline models into one project, and keep that project between sessions, so its models, saved views and issues stay put instead of going when you close the file.
- Your files stay on your device and are never deleted. If a subscription ends the project turns read-only, not locked away: you can still export every model and every issue, free of charge. Subscribing restores the viewer, federation and saved views.
IFC Canvas Pro is an auto-renewable subscription: $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple Account settings. Opening single files stays free.
