Survive, one card at a time
A one-handed voxel survival on a 5x7 card grid. Mine, craft, and reach the sky.
Tap. Mine. Craft. Survive.
CardCraft is a one-handed, portrait-mode crafting survival game played entirely on a 5x7 grid of 35 cards. No complicated controls, no virtual joystick. Just tap a card to break it, gather what falls out, build better tools, and push deeper into eight very different worlds.
Tap to gather, then build
Grass, logs, stone, ore. Every tap chips away at a card until it breaks and drops its materials. The right tool makes it faster and more rewarding. Take what you gather to a crafting table, furnace or anvil and turn it into any of 87 items. Start with a wooden sword and work your way up through copper, iron, silver, platinum and finally mithril. Weapons, food, medicine, vehicles, buildings. The more you can make, the further you can go and the longer you can last.
Day turns to night
Time never stops. When the sun goes down, zombies, ghosts and golems start appearing across the board, and they will chew through your health if you ignore them. Wall yourself in with a dirt house, or forge a better blade and meet them head on. Morning clears the board and saves your progress automatically. Hunger drains the whole time, so keep eating: grow rice, catch fish, cook proper meals.
Eight biomes to travel
Your journey starts on the grasslands, but a boat, a ladder or an airship will take you much further.
- Grassland: where it all begins. Wood, stone and pigs
- Ocean: coral, driftwood and hungry sharks
- Mountain: red earth and towering rock
- Cave: copper through platinum, guarded by golems
- Village: rice paddies, farmland and villagers
- Underworld: treasure chests that turn out to be mimics
- Ruins: mithril and gears, ghosts and gorgons
- Sky: above the clouds, where the dragon waits
Every region has its own resources and its own dangers. Gear up before you go.
The world grows back
Tiles you have cleared slowly return to grass, rock or water on their own, so you can never strip the board bare and get stuck. Place a magic circle, a plantation or a well and resources will keep appearing even while you take a break. This is a game you can play at your own pace.
Collect everything
- Dex: every block, mob and item you meet is recorded automatically. Open an entry and its voxel model spins in 3D, complete with durability, the right tool to use and what it drops
- Treasure: 14 rare finds hidden in chests, ore, fishing spots, ruins, the sky and the dragon itself. Uncovering a legendary one is a moment worth waiting for
- Missions: three active at a time, drawn from a pool of 26, each paying out in items
- Achievements: 25 to unlock
Built from voxels
Every block, creature, tool and treasure is a hand-built 3D voxel model: the rings in a cut log, the glint in an ore vein, the notch in a sword blade. On the title screen a dragon circles a floating island while clouds drift past.
Sound worth listening to
All music and sound effects are chiptune, generated in real time. Separate tracks for day, night, underground and the ending. One tap mutes everything, so it is safe to play on a crowded train.
