Ananse Stroke Book is a custom iOS keyboard extension that lets you type using a phonetic stroke composition system — a unique writing model where letters are formed by combining a family head with a stroke position.

This app installs a fully functional third-party keyboard that works in any app on your device. To enable it, go to Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard → Ananse Keyboard, then tap the Globe key (the language switcher key) to switch to it in any text field.

KEYBOARD FEATURES

• Strokes Board — Tap a family head (A, M, N, G) to activate its stroke row, then tap a stroke to compose a letter. Long-press a head to type its root letter. • QWERTY Mode — Standard layout with Ananse glyphs displayed on each key. • 8 Glyph Styles — Cycle through New, Classic, Bow, Fork, Wave, Cup, Triangle, and Circle font designs. • Hanging Line — Decorative stroke over key glyphs in Off / Thin / Medium / Thick weights.

COMPANION APP The host app guides you through keyboard setup and includes a live preview field so you can see your typed text rendered in Ananse glyphs before switching to another app.

PRIVACY This keyboard does not request Full Access. It works fully offline, collects no data, and sends nothing to any server.
