A RADAR, NOT A RUMOR MILL Every detection is graded — confirmed, probable, or possible — and opens to the raw evidence that produced it: advertised name, manufacturer ID, services, and the exact rule that matched. Audit the radar like an engineer.

SIX CLASSES OF CAPTURE HARDWARE Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses. Snap Spectacles. Rokid, RayNeo, Xiaomi, Brilliant Labs, even no-name imports. GoPro, DJI Osmo, and Insta360 pocket cams. Plaud and Limitless AI recorder pendants. Plus audio-only and display-only glasses, labeled honestly as lesser risks.

A QUEST IS NOT GLASSES Other scanners flag sleeping VR headsets as "smart glasses nearby." Counterlens identifies Quest-family hardware and files it as informational — never an alarm.

ACTIVE-CAPTURE FLAG GoPro-class cameras broadcast state bits. When the encoder-busy flag is set, Counterlens shows "active capture likely" — a live readout no other scanner ships.

LOCATE — HOT / COLD Geiger-style haptic ticks speed up as you close in and walk you to the broadcasting camera.

60-SECOND ROOM SWEEP Checking into a rental? Run the guided sweep: walk the corners while Counterlens listens at full sensitivity, then get a clean report card — every device heard, how close, how sure — plus an honest list of what a passive sweep can't rule out. SENTRY MODE Prop a phone or iPad by the door of a studio, clinic, or gym: big glanceable status, event log, optional chime. Entrances are where camera glasses broadcast most.

HONEST BY DESIGN No scanner can hear a radio that isn't talking. Glasses broadcast at power-on, pairing, and case-open — and can go quiet while worn and connected. Counterlens tells you exactly when detection works instead of selling false comfort, and every alert is advisory, not an accusation.

PRIVATE TO THE BONE No account. No analytics. No ads. No location. Zero network calls — there is no server. Your encounter history lives on your iPhone alone, and the full detection database is plain JSON you can inspect in Settings.
