Sanctum is a voice journal for thoughts that are still in process. Start before you know exactly where the thought is going. Ramble, correct yourself, and change your mind. Sanctum keeps the original and turns the whole train of thought into a clear note you can return to.

Sanctum never uses your recordings, transcripts, notes or any of your data for tracking, advertising, analytics, or AI training.

Every note keeps its source close: the audio, structured transcript, synthesis, and one readable combined document. Listen again, check the writing against what you actually said, rename and edit the result, or share it when you are ready.

CAPTURE WHILE IT IS MOVING

Record with one tap in the app. On supported iPhone models, put Sanctum on the Action Button to begin with one press and save with another. Pause, resume, organize notes into enclaves, folders, and tags, and restore deleted work from Trash.

YOUR NOTE, IN FILES YOU OWN

Each note is an ordinary folder on your device. Open it in the Files app, copy it, back it up, or take the Markdown somewhere else. Your files remain readable outside Sanctum.

CLEAR CHOICES ABOUT PROCESSING

No account is required to record, store, play, browse, search, organize, edit, rename, share, or export your notes. On supported devices and languages, transcription can happen on device.

Sign-in is required only for optional work that leaves the device and incurs processing costs: server-side transcription and synthesis, and Private Backup. Sanctum shows the processing choice before you record.

You can try server analysis before creating an account. New accounts include complimentary server-analysis minutes. Additional minutes are available through monthly subscriptions or a one-time top-up. Recording, playback, file ownership, on-device transcription, search, editing, and sharing remain free.
