Run your in-person interviews from your phone. Prepare, record with the candidate's consent, and score them before you leave the room — even with no signal.

HireBest turns the phone in your pocket into the interview room.

This app is for people who interview in person — in a back office, on a shop floor, at a site where the wifi is patchy and putting a laptop on the desk between you and a nervous candidate would change the conversation.

A HireBest account is required. The app pairs to an account you already have by scanning a code from HireBest on your computer. There is no separate sign-up and no password to type on a phone.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• See your interviews — just the ones assigned to you, just the ones coming up. • Prepare in a few swipes: the role, the candidate's history, and the questions you're there to ask. • Ask the candidate's permission out loud, from a script that reads the same every time. • Run the interview one question at a time, in large type. Read it, put the phone down, listen, tap to move on. • Add a question or a topic in the moment, without losing your place. • Score the candidate before you get back to your car — dictate your evidence instead of thumb-typing it.

IT WORKS WITHOUT A SIGNAL

The interview is downloaded to your phone before you start, so the whole thing runs in airplane mode. The recording and your scores are held on the device and sync on their own once you're back on a connection. Bad wifi in the building never costs you an interview.

RECORDING AND CONSENT

Recording is the point of this app, and it never starts by accident. Nothing is captured until you have read the consent script aloud and tapped to begin — so the candidate's permission is on the recording itself. The app shows you whenever it is recording. Audio is uploaded to HireBest, transcribed, and attached to the interview in your account.

The camera is used for one thing only: scanning the pairing code. No photo or video is ever taken.
