Trail Mail turns your inbox into a hike. Every message gets a TrailHeight — mail that needs you (replies, action items, real deadlines) rises to a peak; newsletters, receipts, and noise settle into the valleys. All of it happens on your device.

Add any IMAP account and Trail Mail gets to work: a compact on-device model reads each incoming message's subject and sender and plots it on the trail — no server sees your mail to do it. Open the inbox and Today's Trail gives you a quick read of the day's terrain: how many peaks are waiting and where to start.

On iPhones and iPads with Apple Intelligence, Trail Mail goes further: • Summaries — every peak condensed to the point, with action items pulled out • Ask AI — chat with your mailbox: "what did the landlord say about the deposit?" finds, reads, and answers from your actual mail • Reply with AI — drafts grounded in the thread and how you write • Semantic search — find mail by meaning, not just keywords

Privacy, by architecture: • Your mail goes from your IMAP server to your device. There is no Trail Mail server. • Passwords live in the iOS Keychain. We collect nothing — no analytics, no tracking. • All AI runs on device (Apple Intelligence and a bundled Core ML model).

Works with any standard IMAP/SMTP provider. TrailHeight priority badges work on every supported device; summaries, Ask AI, and AI replies require Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro or later / M-series iPad with Apple Intelligence enabled).
