See in the dark. Kamera turns your iPhone into a night camera: a brighter live view, night-vision lenses, real depth from the LiDAR scanner, and capture modes built for after sunset.

LIDAR NIGHT VISION On Pro model iPhones the LiDAR lens reads the scanner on the back of your phone and draws the room as measured distance. It works in complete darkness, with no light at all, because the scanner brings its own. Tap two points for the distance between them, in meters or feet: Apple's own Measure app needs light to find a surface, and this one does not. Requires iPhone 12 Pro or later (Pro or Pro Max), or iPad Pro from 2020 onwards, and reaches about 5 meters.

NEW: RESCUE DARK VIDEO Photo Rescue now has a twin. Pick a clip that came out too dark and Kamera re-develops it frame by frame, then saves a brightened copy beside the original. Nothing is uploaded, and the original is never touched.

NEW: MANUAL CONTROLS Take the camera off automatic. Lock focus at infinity for stars, set shutter and ISO by hand, hold white balance, and let focus peaking show you exactly what is sharp.

NEW: RAW CAPTURE Save a DNG next to the JPEG and develop the negative yourself.

NEW: KAMERA ON YOUR WRIST The Apple Watch app taps you when Guard Mode sees something, wherever you are in the house, and shows what tripped it. Fire the shutter from your wrist too. Your iPhone has to be open and running Kamera: the watch is an alert relay and a remote control, not a way to watch the house from elsewhere.

GUARD MODE Point your iPhone at a room and let Kamera keep watch, on motion, on sound, and on Pro models on measured depth. Set a tripwire at a chosen distance and be alerted only when something crosses it. Stealth Watch dims the screen to near black for an overnight watch. Events are logged with thumbnails to a private in-app log, never to your camera roll, and nothing ever leaves your phone.

OPEN IT IN A HURRY A Control Center button, the Action Button, Siri and Shortcuts all open Kamera straight into the lens you want.

PRO HUD A full readout while you shoot: compass heading, level, histogram, zoom, torch, grid, and a volume-button shutter.

PRIVACY FIRST Kamera collects no data. No accounts, no analytics, no tracking. Depth, video and every photo you rescue are processed entirely on your device.

A note on how it works: Kamera's colour lenses are stylised night-vision and heat-look palettes rendered from your iPhone camera's ordinary visible-light image. They brighten and enhance what your camera can already see; they are not an infrared or thermal sensor. The LiDAR lens is the exception: on Pro models it reads real depth from your iPhone's built-in LiDAR scanner. Kamera has no thermal camera and does not measure temperature.
