It watches for the sounds that matter in your home — and quietly tracks how your child’s speech is growing. Built from the ground up for households where someone is deaf or hard of hearing, it turns the sounds you might miss into something you can see and feel.

Everything happens on your iPhone. Audio is analyzed on the device and immediately discarded. No recording is ever saved or uploaded.

ALERTS YOU CAN FEEL WardSafe recognizes smoke and CO alarms, breaking glass, a knock or doorbell, a crying child, and more. When something matters, it reaches you three ways at once: • A distinct vibration pattern for each level of urgency, so you can tell an alarm from a doorbell without looking. • A large, high-contrast banner that drops over whatever’s on screen. • A notification, so you’re covered even when the app is in your pocket.

LIVE CAPTIONS Open captions to read the room in real time. Speech appears as words; other sounds appear in brackets — [doorbell], [dog barking] — the way broadcast captions have always worked. High contrast, resizable text, nothing saved.

SPEECH & BABBLE TRACKING For parents, WardSafe gently follows a child’s language as it grows: new words, sentence length, and — most useful of all — how often you and your child go back and forth. Before there are words, it recognizes the stages of babble, from cooing to “bababa” to sentence-like jargon.

TWO WAYS TO USE IT Choose a profile when you start: • For my child — full speech-development tracking, plus every sound alert. • For myself — sound awareness and captions for your own home, without the child-development screens.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Recordings never leave your iPhone — there’s nothing to upload, because nothing is stored. • Keeping the actual words is off by default; the app can track “14 new words this week” without writing down what was said. • Optional account backup syncs only the results — counts and summaries — so your history survives a lost phone. • Delete everything, on the device and in the cloud, whenever you want.

WHAT WARDSAFE IS NOT WardSafe is an assistive tool, not a replacement for certified equipment. It can miss or misidentify sounds. Never rely on it in place of working smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, or other life-safety devices.

It is also not a medical device. It does not diagnose anything, and its developmental ranges are general context, not a screening test. Every child develops on their own timeline — talk to a pediatrician or a speech-language pathologist about yours.
